TomTom 130S Questions.

I own 2 TomTom 130S units and both have issues:
  1. One is a display model, and I'd like to know which files are safe do delete to remove the slideshow that runs at startup and a minute after no keys are pressed.
  2. The other works fine standalone, and on XP, but when I plug it into Vista, the OS says it needs to format the disk before it can use it. (Not scan and fix--format). I obviously don't want to do that. Is this a known issue? Is there a fix?

Correction: Now Both units are not working with Vista.

In my experience with the 130S (and many of the other newer models), it is generally best not to move it between computers with different operating systems.

For intricate details in an issue like yours, you're going to want to talk with a TomTom support tech. Just call their support line: 1-866-486-6866.
