TomTom Model(s)
XXL540-S
I just picked up a Tom Tom 130 at a local yard sale. It works fine but I am confused as to the actual model. The first two letters of the serial number are "PP". The Tom Tom website lists it as a 130 with TTS. My unit has TTS but with only 32 MB of memory.

I always thought that TTS required 64 MB of memory and "S" would be used to designate TTS in the model number, i.e. Tom Tom 130-S.
I guess I am confused????
Can someone help?

Thanks

I think you are quite right in your analysis but there was a 130S model with 1 GB that used the vocalizer text to speech engine, not LoquendoTTS.

I guess the proof of the pudding is if you can select a voice that is labelled 'computer' or 'speaks street names'

The "Samantha" computer voice is what is installed and it announces the street names. The voice file is named - Vocalizer TTS.

Does this make it a 130 or 130S?

Thank You
