TOM TOM with AC Adapter???

Rather than get a dedicated AC charger (if one is available) you might want to consider an AC to DC adapter. These are available from various sites (Amazon, Radio Shack, Fry's...etc). They are plugged into the AC outlet and then you plug your car DC adapter into it. On the plus side, you can use if for just about any car adapter/charger you might have. Works well with GPS, Cellphones, MP3 players...etc.

I use one all the time and have one in my travel kit, just in case.

Hope this helps.

Thanks for the suggestion Bob. Wouldn't have thought of that.

The GO720 uses the same adaptor as most blackberry and some Motorola phones. I don't know about current models but it would make sense. There's something in Europe about having all portable devices, phones or other, to use compatible adaptors in a neat future.

You can use any miniUSB adapter or charger. My motarola one works fine, but the TomTom car one doesn't see to have the power for my phone though. You can use the TomTom computer cable to go from a regular USB charger to your TomTom. Chagers can be had for around $20.
