I recently sold a 'used' Tom Tom One (4N00.012) Bluetooth GPS Receiver (C-No:Z31187M00008) online. As far as I was aware the Bluetooth side of things worked ok although I have never used it myself and no longer have the manual for reference. The purchaser then told me that he couldn't use the unit with his mobile phone and said the Bluetooth wasn't working.I had the unit returned to me and immediately tried to pair it to a mobile and was successful with my phone and a smartphone belonging to someone else. I even went to my local phone shop and managed to pair it to his smartphone. I must add at this point that I didn't attempt to make a call using the GPS on either of the mobile phones. He now claims that the Tom Tom website says that this model will only work on traffic management and not for normal phone use. Surely by having Bluetooth written on the unit and me managing to pair to 3 different phones, this must mean that the unit will work with phones, as well as traffic management? I am not very clued up on modern technology so any advice will be greatly appreciated.
