Tom Tom on htc touch pro 2

Can anyone help me please Have had several htc phones where v6 worked well in UK now just been upgraded by Vodafone and v7 wont work and tom tom say it is incompatible with the phone.Bizarre as the touch pro 2 high end user phone built in gps and I have seen phones on e-bay saying that v7 working well wonder if it is to do with the deal between Vodafone and new mapping company.But if anyone can give me a lead to installation be V. grateful.
