tom tom map issue

I bought a Tom tom XL in Europe and a 2006 navigator DVD with North American maps years ago. I deleted my european map and replaced it with a north american map. I go to ttcode.com get my validation code and enter it and it says it is not valid. The product code, device code, and validation code is all correct, but the tom tom will not accept the validation code given from ttcode.com What should I do?

I wonder if having not validated the map for 4 years has caused information to have been purged from the database on their end?

I would gather together your serial numbers and validation code and call Tech Support here in the US at 866-486-6866 and see if they can assist.
