Tom Tom Home Screen

Never mentioned this but it always bothers me. The Tom Tom Home screen shows up as a partial screen on my monitor and I have to pull it down by a bar on the left to see some of the options (also the bar on the bottom left to right). Some times the bar is almost non-existent and I can't go further. It has been like this since the beginning, even after the last upgrade. Is this normal? I am afraid to delete TT Home in case I can't get it back or have some other problem. Anyone? Thanks !!

Sounds strange. I have a 23" monitor and Home expands to full height/width of the monitor.

Perhaps a file got corrupt in your implementation.

Do this........... (the world won't end, I don't think )

1. Make a note of your username/password for your account
2. Download Revo Uninstaller (freeware version) from here
3. Completely uninstall all remnents of Home
4. Get yourself the Home app from here
5. Install and see if things are better now.

Want to try what help you gave me, but do not see the option for Windows 7 users. Do you think that has anything to do with it ?

What option? For Revo, it works with W7.

The option to load TT Home again from your link.. Only has Mac, Vista, and XP. Mine (TT bad screen) has been the same since I downloaded it when I got the XXL 540 in April or May.

edit: I tried it choosing Vista, and it said successful, but the TT Home screen is still the same. How do I copy a picture of it to show you here like others have done ?

To be clear..........

Are you talking about the Home screen itself or the Emulator (Operate my Unit) screen? If the latter, then that does not use the full screen, just a window in the middle of the monitor.

If the former however, then you can do this:
1. Do a Print Screen to do a screen capture
2, Open Paint to crop what's not desired.
3. Save the remaining image as a .bmp somewhere on your computer.
4. Upload the image to a photo sharing site such as photobucket or image shack.
5. Copy the link that gets generated to a post here.

The TT Home screen seems to take up the full page, but the part which shows the options (icons) is a small window with a bar at the right and the bottom so you can move the bar and see the balance of what I thought should show completely on the screen all at once. Sometimes I don't even get the bars so I can't choose an option on the bottom row.
