Swapping large maps on XL 340 S

It may sound silly, but I did not find an answer to the following question:

Is it possible to swap North America maps to Europe (say, Western Europe) and back on TomTom XL 340 S, say, for a vacation trip?

Will it be enough to do just Explorer backup/recovery?

Yes you can do this, firstly you need to make space on the device for the alternate map, copy the existing map to your PC using Home or preferable Windows Explorer then copy the new map to the device memory, on the return from your trip swap the maps over again - There won't be enough memory available in the device to house both maps at the same time - Mike
