subscription problem

Can anyone help a new tom tom user? I have a xl live with 12 months free live updates. Although my tom tom recognises that I have this and is showing it as active the traffic bar remains grey with an orange triangle. If I go into " Live Services" and then "Traffic" it says that i need a subscription for this service - but i have one. Any ideas please
 
I have exactly the same problem after purchasing an XL Live IQ routes last week. I contacted the help (by phone) and they sent me an email basically asking me to make sure the Tomtom was fully charged and do a full 30 second reset (which by the way defaults everything back to factory settings). This has not worked so after informing them by return of email yesterday I was escaluted up to help level 2. I am now waiting to hear a response and I will post when I do.
 
HD traffic now appears to be working. I presume Tomtom help sorted it out but I have had no contact from them to say as much. Out on the road tomorrow so we'll see what happens.
