Strange things happening with POI's

I have two GO 620 devices (one for myself and one for my wife) and this morning I was trying to update one of my lists of POI's, for which I use ITN Converter. However, when I replaced the POI list and then checked what was showing on the sat navs, some of the items had disappeared (the ones more distant from where I live) and the ones that did show up had two of each. The other thing I noticed is that my wife's sat nav is now showing all sorts of stuff in Europe and the USA (mine doesn't show that stuff), and I can't find anyway to remove them.

A factory reset of the device will have to delete the POIs.

Normally POIs that are several km away are not displayed.
You must search with the name of the city.

It was showing POI's in Nottingham until recently and my other POI's in Exmouth, London, etc. are still showing:
