I have a XL 330 S and I wanted to beable to password protect it. So I was told to do this
This issue is being caused by the 8.014 application that is installed on your device. This application update allows use of the RDS-TMC antenna accessory. If you do not currently have this accessory, or you are not planning to purchase this accessory in the near future we recommend following the steps below to remove and replace this application. However, if you do have this accessory, or wish to use it in the near future removing this application version will prevent you from doing so.

We offer step by step instructions on our website that will guide you through removing this application and installing a different application. Please click on the link below to view the information. If you are unable to click on the link, please copy and paste it into your internet browser.

Now after doing all this when I go to turn on my GPS I have to keep pushing the on button, on off on off (white screen) and holding it down and it may take 3 or 4 times to get the start up screen.

So does anyone no how to fix this so that I only have to push the on button 1 time.

Thank you

apparently all kinds of issues doing this.

To connect to the computer, I have to hold my on button for 15 - 20 seconds.

I also now have a long wait indoors, that I didn't have before, to start receiving satellite.

And I haven't had a quickGPSfix since I made the change. I'm still trying to figure out what's going on.

I've read of other issues after having done this. I do like having it password protected, but I'm not sure being able to operate from Tomtom home is worth the changes..
