Start tomtom when the car starts

I have a TomTom One v2 which cannot start when the car starts except by the "On" button. I know there's no way to make it do so. Is there any TomTom model which can be set to automatically start with the car?

I want that because I use it for red light cameras so it should be on all the time because, thanks almighty, these cameras are everywhere and it is PITA to restart TomTom each time I start the car.

If there's no way to do that with TomTom, I have to get a Garmin and forget TomTom forever.

Any help?

Auto-on was removed as functionality from all Tomtom models years ago and, while a frequent request to implement it, it hasn't made a return and won't likely in the future.

Why is this? This would be a simple software option, what harm can it do?

What can I say. They are Dutch. I remember bad experience at the Schiphol airport. They are Dutch....
