Speed Segments

I was wondering if anyone had some simplified step by step instructions for changing speed limits on different
segments of the same road.

I know how to get to the part to edit segments but it seems no matter what I select or deselect it still changes the entire road length.

If Mike Alder stops in, I'm pretty sure he can point you to a thread in our British cousin's forum. (Mike, I think it was by DennisN IIRC. I couldn't find it right off.) It's a very good explanation.

Changing all of a road to a single speed is easy, sadly to change a small section of road which is more likely to be needed is painfull taking quite some time to get it right, these days I don't really bother with it, the speed limit information has increased in coverage and improved in accuracy in the UK which makes it less often that you find it wrong.
I no longer have it set up to warn of overspeed so when its wrong its not really an issue, its the speed cameras that are important because the map data for speed limits will never be 100% accurate due to local changes that can occur within a very short period of time - Mike
