speed limits

I have a TomTom XXL540S. The freeway I use regularly shows a speed limit on the TomTom as 100kph whereas it should be 110kph so that when I am driving at 110 the alarm keeps going off. How do I change this setting to 110? If I go through a town with an 80 limit will it still change down and back to 110 at the end of that zone? I managed to alter it on my last trip but had a lot of difficulty in setting the beginning point of 110. Help please.

Two things: Safety Preferences-->Warn when driving faster than allowed. If checked, uncheck it.

Second, you can make a mapshare correction to change the spped on the map from 100 to 110.
