I have now had a GO discover 6" for a few months, question: how are the Speed cameras updated? My GO 5200 showed speed cameras as an update on a regular, at least weekly basis from the community. I entered a mobile speed camera location locally but it has not yet shown up on the map?

To have speed cameras report on your GO you must connect your smartphone to your GO and have a valid speed camera subscription.

Thnak you Willy875, but I thinbk my query has been misunderstood.

I have a connection and subscription and speed cameras are showing. My query was how the updating of speed cameras are notificed, as all I receive is map updates, are they included witht this? My GO5200 notified me of speed cmaeras update by the community.

Sorry ~Willy875 but i am receving alerts, it is updates, I am asking about, to the speed camera database not alerts. I am asking how are updates to the speed camera database notified.

Speed camera updates on your GO are part of regular map updates.

There is no radar only update.

To be clearer, if you go to Settings/?/About//Safety Camera Updates in the menu system, you should see a notice that says "Your device automatically receives location updates for fixed safety cameras and speed traps in real time".

So as Willy875 said up in post #2, you only need to be connected to TomTom to receive these. You can connect to your phone either using Bluetooth (or using WiFi when your phone = mobile hotspot) for this to work, same as for real time traffic data. It updates about every 2 minutes.

Canderson, thank you for that. I have checked that setting and it is correct. So thank you and Willy875 for the assistance.
Happy New year to all.
