I posted a note -re FAULTY SPEAKER & where to get a replacement on the forum the other day but I've had a reply from the company that makes dozens of different speakers. I have a 1 XL Europe bought 2007 Sept.
The symptoms were ' tinny' sound & then intermittent no sound & then nil audio on anything. I re souldered the connections to the speaker which brought the sound back but it was of poor qual. The speaker I need which the company have in stock is a 4 Ohm x 2 watt and is rectangular 40mm x 20 mm x 5mm. they'll send two for $15 I'm told so I've put my order in They are ----- advanced acoustic technology corp & the chap who has replied is Michael. I hope this helps every one with the same fault as mine because in the week that I've looked into it there are dozens of folks out there with the same problem.
