Hey guys, I hope you can help me, because I am getting increasingly frustrated. I have a TomTom One 2nd edition that I bought new about 6-8 months ago. It is application version 6.501 and map version 660.1215. When I purchased it, and downloaded the Home program, it seemed to work fine. Well, a few days ago, I attached my TomTom One to my computer to check for updates. It recognized my device and told me there were updates available (version 7.131). I downloaded the update, but when I went to apply it, it says that the item is not suitable for my device. I tried redownloading the update multiple times, still the same problem. Well, about the same time, my TomTom Home program said there was a new TomTOM Home update available (version 2.1), and asked me if I wanted to install it. I selected yes, and installed it, hoping it would solve the problem I was having. Well now with this new version, when I plug my TomTom one in and turn it on, the program pops up on the computer screen, but it doesn't seem to recognize the device. It acts as if there is no device connected. I have tried uninstalling and reinstalling multiple times; I have tried different USB ports; I have tried resetting the unit; none of them helped with either issue. I talked to TomTom support, and they said they think that I have the latest software already on my One, and that is why it says it isn't suitable for my device. However, from what Ive heard, that info is incorrect, and there are newer updates available. He also told me the Home program (v2.1) isn't compatible with my TomTom one, and that is why it wont recognize it. Again, Ive heard elsewhere that that is incorrect, and it should be compatible. I am so freakin confused and frustrated. Can anyone help me keep my sanity? Thanks in advance. Im sorry about being so long winded. Mr Keith Robinson

Hey guys, after submitting this question, I happened upon Wileys "sticky" regarding manually upating to Navcore 7.1. That seemed to fix all the problems. Next time I need help, I am coming here, not calling TomTom. Their support guy was usless. Thanks again, you guys are awesome.

Im glad you searched for the answer. I hope other members who have the same problem may look at this thread and know what to do.
