I can?t understand TomTom. The good is that I have called TT Support 4 times and have been able to talk to a live person. Three calls were about the RDS-TMC traffic problems and one concerned updating map with the 920-T guarantee. Map issue resolved and they tried their best to satisfy me on the RDS-TMC traffic concern and even had me convinced it was working but there was no traffic data being transmitted in my area. Well once I installed the 7.48 upgrade, traffic mysteriously started working correctly. It was the software because it piqued my interest enough to contact the FM station and make sure they hadn?t just started sending data (they hadn't just started and there are 3 stations in my area that send data). So it was the software and while TT Support were very polite and helpful they were evidently feeding me a ?crock?. But that is not my main concern. My VR doesn?t work but I?ve never used it except when I first got my TT and I believe they will evidentially fix the bug. It doesn't really bother me. The thing that gives me heartburn is why do they not post on TT Home or in the TT Newsletter I just got the problem/s with the new software upgrade. I?m sure many users are not aware of this forum so are left to ?twist in the wind? as they try to figure what THEY are doing wrong and why they can't get their VR to work or why it quit. It is just not professional to not "fess up". It was nice to talk to a human in a timely manner when I called Support but I still feel like I was ?jacked around? on the traffic issue. Regardless if I had to choose over again I would still choose TT. From now on TT; don?t tell me what I want to hear; the truth will work nicely. I still love you, I'm just dissapointed in you right now.
