Chaps,
Is there a sever status page for the tomtom update servers ?

I have been trying to update a friends satnav for a couple of days and am unable to connect to tomtom

This is the errror I get;

ERROR: 2152398878/#https://home.tomtom.com/redir/services: Error from server: HOME cannot connect to the TomTom server.
HOME cannot connect to the TomTom server.
Error code: 2152398878 (NS_ERROR_UNKNOWN_HOST)
URL: https://home.tomtom.com/redir/services
Severity: 1105
Stack:
0. chrome://tthome/content/logic/netutil.js:77
return new ServerError(message, status, uri, undefined, additionalInfo);

this.cancelException = NetUtil.exceptionForStatusCode(this.request.channel.status, this.url.spec);

Any help would be appreciated

There is no Server Status page that I'm aware of..

Try calling UK support at UK 08451610009 and see what they have to say.

If it's any comfort I have the same problem and exactly the same error message. I have reinstalled home and associated software and checked firewall, virus protection and various other stuff I have running and it doesn't work...

However, I am going to suggest that the TomTom help system is awarded the second prize for the most tortuous help system (after MicroSoft)... at some stage it asked me my opinion of the system but it never gave me the chance to say. I expect it realised I as going to be pretty nasty...

:D

I'm pretty certain this is a firewall issue. I have an MS firewall installed but my virus protection installs a second wall and it developed problems. Uninstalling and reinstalling the virus protection seems to have fixed that problem. I have a different one now. Ho hum.

I suggest checking that you've allowed TomTom Home proper access.

Of course it might have been a server issue which has now rectified itself... ;)

I have been getting the same message now for all most three weeks. Any ideas on how to update my maps? Is there a work around, a tech support number for the USA?
