I have only recently found the option to send a text stating my arrival time. This seems to work well, except that it gives my address as the house opposite, in a different postcode. My correct address can be found in the app, so does this mean That there is a fault in Tom Tom?

Best wishes, Philip not Flip

Are you saying that the device is indicating 'home' as across the street from actual location?
If you used your street address (vs. coordinates or touching the map) to indicate your home location, that's fairly easily explained, though can be quite annoying, and can be worked around.

That's right I was aware of the problem of touching the screen, so I deleted the app, reinstalled it and entered my home address using my postal address and postcode. It still gets it wrong.

Best wishes, Philip(how do I change my name in the forum? I dictated it and it got it right when I looked at it and then it changed its mind)

Not all house numbers are listed on GPS maps.

Actually, AFAIK, the problem is the other way around.
If you supply an address, it is possible that the geolocation is improper when performed in reverse.

Thank you all for your replies, but I haven't got a solution yet. Any ideas?

It's already good if your GPS tells you the address of a house, even if it's the house across the street, you should know which is your house.

I am sending the text to my wife, so she is slightly surprised to think that I am going to a neighbour!

I have been using tom-tom for over 20 years and frequently think that the software then was much better than it is today.
