Search by street name only?

Is there any way to find an address when you do not know the city/suburb? I often know the street name, but am not sure of the suburb. There appears to be no way to enter the street name and have the Tom Tom give you a list of possible cities or suburbs.

Thanks

I don't believe there is a way to do it on the unit, but perhaps via Yahoo or Google Maps?

A feature I really like is that you can search by postal/zip code. That way if I don't know an address I can still get to the general area. I was playing around with my buddies Sony GPS unit and I couldn't find that option on his.

Oh yeah, you can only input the first 3 characters. That's too bad.

Why is that so ?
It does the job with 3 characters.

I'll have to spend some time playing around with it. I don't see how it's supposed to narrow down an area with only half of the postal code. I often found postal code searching beneficial on my BlackBerry when the address I typed in came up as invalid. If that happened I would use the postal code search to get me to the general area. I noticed that the TomTom also asks you for a cross street, so like I said I'm going to have to play around with it.
