I just bought a used TomTom Europe on eBay. I was expecting it to have a a SD card with the Euro maps however the maps are contained in the internal memory. My unit does have a Sd card slot. I was hopping to use it with US and Euro maps. How does this all work? If I get tomtom ONE US map SD card will it plug and play? Will the EURO maps be wiped out? I did load the tomtom HOME on my computer and backed up the tomtom memory. I don't have a clue what I am doing so please help!!

PS reading other posts my unit does have a black bezel around the screen

No, your Euro maps should not wipe out. When the unit detects an SD card, it automatically registers that card only and not the internal memory.
You have to purchase the North America map and install it on a SD card.
Go to tomtom.com and set the country to the UK.

:p All sounds good. I have a friend that has a similar tomtom ONE with a US map SD card. Can I try his card in my unit to see if it works - or are tomtom SD cards keyed to a unit?
