how do i know my TT was able to know that i enter this SD card,

P.S nothing so far was on this card, it's sparkling new, i intend to use this card as a MP3 holder for some songs

What TomTom device do you have ? I assume it is a SDHC card, and older units will not read these. When you have it plugged into you computer, do you see the TomTom and the card as devices ?

It also has to be formatted in FAT 32 and not NTFS - check and see how it is formatted and reformat it fat 32 if it is NTFS.

If it is visible and FAT 32, there are several threads that will guide you in setting it up on you TomTom.

I own the TT GO 720 and i read somewhere that i need to format with the TT first before placing it into the PC

and yes it's a SDHC card and i only place it into the TT

In fact, it's best to format a sdhc card in a card reader, not while it is in the unit. This is especially true for a sdhc card > 4 gigs in size.

ok i will format it in my laptop and in a FAT32 size and NOT NTFS

I expect your card is already formatted FAT32 because that is what the standard for SDHC requests. If the card is brand new and comes from the factory, no way it would be NTFS as the card is not only destined to be used in PCs with MS OSs but cameras, mp3 players, phones etc who expect FAT32.

I would simply put some mp3 files into a directory named according to TT rules and try it out on your TT. It should work. I know my SDHC card did not need to be formatted out of the box and has worked well since without any need to be reformatted...

yep as you said it was already formated to the FAT32 standart, will try to place some folder

just to know can i do this in my TT

MP3 folder and after that have a sub folder call, WEIRDAL and so on always starting for the MP3 folder and doing other sub folder

follow the instructions on this post
Do not do steps: 7-17 as this only references cards bigger than 4GB that not cannot be recognized by HOME.
If it does not recognize it then follow all the steps.

Note that #6 is very important!
Good Luck
