SD Card Initialisation

Hi,

I?ve booked Renault New Scenic for my European holidays. The car has integrated Carminat Tom Tom system. I was hoping I can download a certain map I am interested in ( CENTRAL & ORIENTAL EUROPE ? 69.95 Euro ) to my 4GB SD Kingston card and take it with me to Europe. However the card apparently has to be firstly initialised by Carminat Tom Tom (according to Tom Tom Home2 help). Unfortunately I cannot do it remotely and I would not have the time and means (no access to Internet) to do it once I am in Europe. Is there a way to initialise the SD card without Carminat Tom Tom ?

I don't think there's a way to do this.

Maps are locked to specific serial numbers, and the initialization process writes the carminat's serial number to the card, so HOME can install a properly locked map.
