TomTom Model(s)
Via 135, GO 620
I bought a GO 620 (with Wi-Fi it says on the box) to replace my ancient VIA 350 which had died.
I am appalled by the mirror-like screen on the 620. The most obvious thing visible on the screen is a reflection of the back of my hand. The old 350 had a "dull" screen which showed the content on-screen clearly.
I am awaiting delivery of a screen protector (from TomTom) which claims to be, among other things, anti-reflective. We'll see... But if it's no better, the whole thing is going back to Amazon for a refund.
So, my question is: does TOMTOM (or anyone else) make a satnav with a screen as "dull" as my old 350?

@DonnieM You should not face this issue on GO 620, Fully charge the GPS unit (Without Mount) for 3-4 hours > Turn it on and check again. Besides, go into the settings > Appearance > Display > Check the Brightness %.

Have one for years now and there can be some reflection depending ambient light. (With power off, can be used as a mirror ;->)
Once a map is displayed I get no reflection at all.

Thanks for your reply. However fully charging makes no difference and the brightness was at 100%. So I'm just waiting for the screen protector and if that doesn't sort it, it will be going back.

Although the 620 is indeed WiFi enabled, TomTom refers only to the later generation as Nav4-WiFi (don't know why - they seem to love to confuse us with their nomenclature.

As this screen issue is for a 620, I'm moving this over to the straight "Nav4" hardware section so that other Nav4 users will find it.
