Screen Protector

Hi All

Does anyone know where I can buy a screen protector for the TomTom Go Camper that's if there is one to fit it, as I can't see one listed for it?

I can only see ones for TomTom Go 500, 510, 5000, and 5100.

You know, there is a school of thought that feels screen protectors for Tomtom devices may turn out to be problematic in that there have been verified reports of the protectors drying out over time, causing extra pressure on the screen resulting in phantom screen strokes.

That said, you can call support to see if they can let you know whether any of the listed protectors works on the camper model.

The phantom problem was sometimes a problem with the old resistive touch screens that were by nature pressure sensitive, but a protector doesn't present that problem with the newer capactiive screens.
As far as I know, all of the "GO Camper" series is based upon the base 500 and 600 (and later) models, which are all capacitive.

On the whole, a screen protector won't provide a lot of benefit, but if you choose to use one, understand that all of the units you specify are the same exterior hardware. It's been a number of years that TT has been using the exact same form factor, just different electronics and firmware. If yours is a recent 5" device, a screen protector that claims to fit 500/510/5000/5100 will work fine on a 5" camper model as well.
