Ah - need to clarify whether there's a problem selecting the street, or whether it's actually not there. If you use "Browse Map", are you able to find it on your unit that way?Tried tyre but not sure that it will work on my GO720 to fix the problem that I have.
A location I want to navigate to has streets that aren't on the present maps. They are on Google maps. I can't see them on my device at least on the text directions. Will it work?

Street selection can be tricky sometimes. It's not always obvious which town/suburb name should be selected, and it's not always clear if there should be a N or E or S or W entered with a space before the street name. In some towns, just the street name is used on one side of town, but the directional indication has to be added for the other.
If the roads really do not physically appear when you perform a "Browse map" (cannot overemphasize the need for that), trying to navigate to coordinates considerably off any existing road will get you a "No route found". The best you could do is find the nearest bit of road to your destination and head for that.
If you're willing to divulge the final destination, we could take a peek over at TeleAtlas to see whether it's likely they'll be showing up in the next map set. What map version are you on now?
The street is listed in title. Bainbridge Lane The Villages Fl USA
? Only thing I see in the title is "Route Planner Info into GO720".The street is listed in title. Bainbridge Lane The Villages Fl USA
I thought I could use Tyre and get an accurate route??????

Anyway, like others, I don't seem to have any problem finding this. Am using a 720 with map 860. Once again, can you browse to it with "Browse map"? And again, what map version are you running?
Navigate to
Address
Street and house number
FL
Villages (brings up "The Villages FL"
Bainbridge Ln
No problems that I can see unless you're still using the maps that came with your 720
As I noted earlier, you can't ask a TomTom to navigate to a set of coordinates (or even set a favorite) very far off a road that it knows without getting a "No route found" when you try to navigate to it, so you're going to need a map at least recent enough to include the street you want.
Well, if the street in question isn't there in 815, then I'm afraid TYRE won't work for you.
Yes, but you're still missing the point. Your outdated map doesn't have any street where we know there is one. If you try to force your 720 to navigate to that location, it's far enough off the nearest known road in the 815 map that you're going to get a "No route found". Your TomTom does NOT approve of being treated to an "off-road experience", and that's what it will think is happening if you use coordinate data away from a known (per your map) road.Doesn't Tyre use Google Maps instead of the TomTom maps?

You have only two choices ... update the "antiquated" map (815 dates back to November 2008), or navigate to the nearest on-road point that exists in the 815 map and work your way to your destination from there via a paper map or seat-of-the-pants navigation.
