Reset my TT

Why is it every time I plug in my TT and get the update does it revert to a different language and reset all my settings?

It shouldn't be doing that though earlier versions of Home did cause the loss of a computer voice and the user had to reset it. The latest Home (2.56) seems to rectify that.

Anyway, do a pin reset on the unit. If that doesn't resolve the issue. Try the Clear flash tool found here. It's supposed to be useful when settings are not being retained on a unt; don't worry if it does not mention your model specifically.
