If you connect your GPS to your Plan-Tomtom account for a backup, you will find all your saved destinations in your destinations when you reconnect it.
The POI, Favorites / My Places and device settings that you create in your 5100 are stored in NVRAM (as are your maps, voices, etc.), so a battery replacement will not have any negative impact on that stored data.

That’s really interesting. I’ve accessed it on my iPad and signed in ok. It’s showing a couple of dozen of my destinations but that’s only a fraction. As far as I know I need to physically connect the Go 5100 so am thinking if I get onto Plan.TomTom on my PC, and then physically connect to my device then things may become clearer.
