Recorded routes not giving voice directions

Hi. I’m a driving instructor and I use Tom Tom Go Essential 6 device.

I have recorded some routes so that I can do mock driving tests but the Tom Tom isnt giving voice instructions for turns etc. Voice instructions are turned on btw, and were when recording.

It will give voice instructions however when I request directions to a certain postcode/location but not when I use the recorded routes. Any ideas?

It’s only when I record a route on the sat nav itself where the voice instructions don’t work

Check that the voice icon is not crossed out.

Have you selected a synthetic voice, Malcolm or Serena.
