Ahhh...the Joys of TT.

Hello all,

Here is the situation:

I have inherited a Tom Tom GO 700 from my brother. He has given up on it as it constantly re-boots. Right now it looks like tomtom.com is down thus I am here begging the brains-that-be help a new tt user.

I am expecting that I will have to re-format/re-image the internal memory. He has been using the TT on an apple with little success. I will be using a windows box, but don't have the Tomtom Home application.

1.) What should my first steps be?
2.) Should I be looking into tomtom.com coming back online anytime soon?

Thanks in advance for your help!

Can the 700 connect to your computer?
Try running the flashtool.
You might also have to reinstall the application.
If you contact TomTom support, they might help you out.

So to be clear, I think that my brother gave me everything but the CD with the appropriate software. I don't know which application you are talking about, nor do I know what flash tool you speak of.

Apoligies in advance for such n00b questions.

Thanks,
Andy
