RDS-TMC traffic wire - positioning and removal

How do you have your RDS-TMC traffic wire set up? I would appreciate as many suggestions or ideas as possible.

How many people remove the wire when exiting the car? I'm concerned that if I leave the little suction cupped wire up - it will be a thief attractor.

I live in Baltimore City. I put the bottom suction cup in the lower left corner and run the wire straight up to the upper left corner of my Mini windscreen. The receiver is to the right of the bottom suction cup of the antenna. I leave it in there all the time, with nothing conspicuously attached.
