which RDS traffic reciever will work on my tom tom?

There are lots of different TomTom devices so to answer your question we really need to know what device you have got and a location USA/ European/ Australia etc might have have a bearing on the advice - Mike

I have a tom-tom go 510 and i am in the uk

You need the receiver with the round plug, the mini USB style receiver will not work with your device. The one you want has a part number printed on a small white flag near the connector that is 4V00.013

Get yourself down to your local Currys and PC World as they were clearing stock of these receivers a couple of weeks ago and it was possible to purchase brandnew receivers for just over ?5 so you might drop lucky if your local store has any stock left. (Shame your not in Blackpool as I have a couple of these still in their boxes) - Mike

Yes that is the correct unit, you might have to drive some distance to a store with some stock but these were being sold for around ?35 a couple of weeks ago so its worth the effort to track one down for just over ?5 - Mike
