Quick question about TT's Latest Map Guarantee

I recently got a TT one 130. I want to get the absolute latest map available for this. The latest map guarantee that comes with it isn't very clear about the 30 days part of it. Is it 30 days from date of purchase, 30 days from first powering unit on, or 30 days from first connecting to computer? TIA

Tomtom HOME should process as 30 days from first power-on. But if used as a store demo or if it's an older model/serial number, HOME's LMG will fail.

If it fails, then you'll have to call support. Support will only offer LMG 30 days from purchase date (you have to fax a receipt).

Even if you don't get LMG, maps discounted if you buy the annual subscription. They cost about $25 if you have map 800-815, and about $50 if you have map 700-725. This is in addition to the $50 subscription cost.
