Questions about the GO

Hello,

I have a couple questions - any help would be appreciated:

1. Do LIVE services work in Canada? How do you connect to them? Is it through your data connection on your phone via Blue tooth?

2. Which TOMTOM models have LIVE services available?

3. Is traffic on LIVE services different than the RDS TMS traffic updates you get? I stopped using traffic that I got from my data connection on my phone because the only traffic that worked in Canada at that time was RDS TMS. Has this been fixed now? Are you able to get traffic services in Canada through the data (internet) connection on your phone?

4. What is the connection between GOOGLE and LIVE? How do you have access to Google Maps on your TOMTOM and which TOMTOMs support Google Maps? Is this also done through the Data connection (internet) on your phone connected through your Blue tooth?

5. Finally, is the GO 940 available in Canada? I can't see it on TOMTOM's website, or in stores.

Live services do NOT work in Canada. Not only is there no 940 in Canada (or in the States), there is no 740 in Canada either. The only traffic is via the rds antenna.

No Tomtom's support Google maps. The LIVE Tomtom models support Google POI, but as DHN said LIVE services don't work in Canada.

...and...there's no RDS-TMC at the moment either, apparently. At least that's the case here in the Washington, DC area. I get the little green arrow over the auto icon...but traffic is never downloaded. Am hearing rumblings that the traffic provider, Clear Channel (Metro Traffic), is letting the service slide somewhat in some of it's radio markets where it's trying to dump radio stations. Very sad situation at the moment...
