If i open windows explorer and point it to my tomtom and tell it to erase everything, Will tomtom home automatically re-download everything?

NO!!!

The map is not automatically reloaded. Unless you have it backed up or on your computer as a result of a previous download, it is gone!

The rest of the stuff.pretty much .Not any custom pois you may have downloaded.

May I ask......

Why do you want to wipe everything out?

If you want to reformat the internal drive, then first make a complete Explorer backup of your unit's contents. Ensure hidden files/folders are showing.

Now, you can reformat the unit and use Explorer to copy everything back.

I wasn't planing to, But i had some message pop up saying the 920's memory was almost full (internal) I had never seen this before.

Now i get an error when i try and update the latest map (internal memory) if i switch to external memory it says i need to delete some stuff.

The error

What size is your external sdhc card? You could get a 4-gig. Keep the NA map on internal and use Explorer to copy the European map to the card.
