Question re voice recognition of addresses in French

Greetings. Just joined the forum having purchased a Via 135 today.

Wonder if someone could help me out.

Via 135 works well. No complaints so far.

One question though.

I live in Switzerland (French part) and I tried using the voice facility to set up a route using the "drive to" command. The addresses are in French and the 135 did not recognise them.

Am I asking too much?

I tried switching the language to French, but it still won't recognise the Swiss (French) addresses.

Grateful for any help.

Thank you for that.

I tried switching the language to French and the voice to a French speaker who can read addresses. It worked despite my imperfect French pronunciation.

This really limits the "drive to" command though since you have to be able to speak the language of the country you happen to be driving in.
