Question about updated files

My device: XLS340S

Using TomTom home, I updated the GPS fix file and the recommended application update to v9.025. During the install process it copied files such as italy_intro.jpg, france_intro.jpg, poland_intro.jpg and many others with foreign country names.

What are these files? It doesn't seem that I would need those when I have the ?USA_Canada_and_Mexico_P? map on my unit.

All I can think of is that they form part of the "HelpMe" function on the device where you can display data about each country such as currency, capital city and other regional specific information such as which side of the road to drive on (not that you should need or rely upon such information) - Mike

Found in the helpme\other\travelinfo\images sub folder

Thanks for the info. I looked at some of the .jpg images. They're images depicting each of the foreign countries (Europe). Even though the images take up only about 800 Kb, it seems silly to have them since I will never be driving in Europe.
