proprietary USB ??

It appears that even though my XXL 530 appears to have a standard USB port, it is shaped in such a way that standard USB cables cannot plug into it. So unless I can find the TomTom USB cord I cannot update my unit. :-(

Am I missing anything????

It is a standard mini-usb on the unit. It's just difficult to connect a cord since the port is slightly recessed.

Whatever you do, don't force it in. When it is lined up properly it should slide in with just a little effort.
