Problems when I update....

I keep trying to get the new application, but each time I do something goes awry. When I tried the latest application it reset my device, and then freezes and reboots after choosing the voice. The only I have rolled back to 7.4xx, that appears to be the only thing working for me right now. Any advice on how to get the new application to work? I have the 920t.

I don't have a 920 but was just wondering that when you update and before disconnecting the device do you look up at the menu's on top of the page and click on device then click on disconnect prior to pulling the plug? I know on my One when I do this I can look on the bottom of the GPS and watch a little yellow line scroll across the screen telling me that all the updates have been loaded............Just something to think about......
