I tried installing HOME on my MacBook Pro, after downloading I moved the .dmg to the desktop. Once on the desktop double clicked on it. I got a disk on the desktop name TOM TOM HOME, then moved that to Applications. Neither on the desktop or the applications folder I got the tom tom Home icon. when I click on the blank icon in the applications folder nothing happens.

I also tried on my Mac Book Air, same thing!

Both have MAC OS X 10.6.8

could some one please help me I have to travel tomorrow....

Sorry, I'm not a Mac user....

If you repeat the exercise from scratch, what happens if you click on the icon that gets created on the desktop WITHOUT moving it to applications?

What was it you wanted to update with Home anyway? Unless your maps were HUGELY out of date, or the TomTom wasn't working at all, I don't think there's anything you could update that would be VITAL for your journey....
