Powering TT in car

I want to have my TT on the left side of my windshield but from that location the included AC adapter will not reach my lighter outlet unless I want to have the cord strung across the car cabin. Is there any way to extend the AC adapter? For example, can I plug the AC adapter into a mini-USB hub (that appears to have the same USB connection as plugs into the TT 720) and then from that run another USB cable to the TT? Or is there really no way to do this? Sorry if it sounds like a silly question.

you can buy ciggarette plug extention cords for a couple bucks at Radio Shack or an auto parts store. I just bought one to chop up and hardwire my One into my car.

Products to do the job do exist. Here's a link to one place:

A google search will, I'm sure, get you good results.
