Hi all, first post, i have a Tom Tom xxl and have found that my home postcode is not correct (it thinks i am in another road) is there a way to correct this? there are also a number of other postcodes to be incorrect. Also i have a very old Tom Tom that works on a smartphone and the map used on that is much better (for me) than the one on my new one, i would not be able to use that map on my new Tom Tom would i?

Bye,

Ian...

Welcome to TTF.

Download the latest postal code file from the first post in this thread.

Install the files in a zip (all lower case) folder on your unit.

Sorry, you can't interchange maps between units.

Welcome to the forum Ian, it is possible to update the postcode files but being as you are using an XXL your device should contain the latest set, that said it doesn't mean to say its 100% correct though!

There is no way to alter Postcode locations AFAIK, what you can do is set your Home location by using Point on Map or current GPS position (assuming you are stood outside your house on the road).

You cannot use your old SmartPhone map on that device as its rather old and won't contain certain data that the device requires to function - Mike
