POI's to TT 3rd Edition from MIO

I had a MIO c22o. Damn thing kept freezing (Thanks Microsoft)...anyway it had millions of POI's and even though I really like my TT one 3rd edition, it doesn't come close in the poi department. Since TT has a linux kernal it also hasn't froze-up once. This is the only minor negative I can find with this little GPS. BTW I have never posted to a forum like this before, so if I posted in the wrong place ...Pardon.

I have no experience in this, but I have heard that TomTom maps will run on Mio units after a bit of hacking. This being the case, perhaps there is some compatability between the POI files.

The TomTom's POI files are contained in the file 'poi.dat'. So why don't you try copying over the Mio's POI file, giving it this name. (Save the original in a safe spot on your hard drive.) It's a long shot, but you never know.

Have you tried the larger POI database on your xl?
