Points of interest in Australia - what comes with a TomTom ? (XL 330)

Hi,

I'm getting a brand new XL 330 in a few weeks time, just wondering, what points of interest are included with the TomTom?

And how do I know if I clash with an existing point of interest file?
I found this website for POI:

And that includes *lots* of points of interest locations for a large variety of GPS'es in Aus, does anyone else use this website?

I'm very new to GPS'es so apologies for the basic questions...

Welcome to TTF, mate.

It's impossible to know exactly what pois will come included with your map of Oz till you actually get the unit. There are literally tens of millions of pois worldwide and no company--TomTom, Garmin, or any other--maps them all.

So it's good you've found a source for additional pois. If one happens to be for the same place as an included poi (say, the location of a petrol station), you'll likely see a generic petrol icon as well as a branded petrol icon overlapping each other on the map. No big deal.
