 I receive the following error when trying to run my device through the software, "Navigator Failed to initialise Code 9000" I have uninstalled and reinstalled the software and the issue persists. I have had this unit for less than 2 weeks and it just started doing this in the last day or two. Please help. It is a 720

Are you only having trouble operating your device through Home? If so, what version of Home do you have (if you installed it from the CD - will be very old version...). Also, what application version do you have on the unit.

If you device works OK otherwise, you will want to see if Home will upgrade you to Home 2.5xxxx.Home will also ask ou to update your application - unless it has done that already.

I have the same application version on my 920 and Home version as you , and I have no trouble "Operating my Go' - including Plus Services.

It sounds like the system file to "Operate" My Go" is corrupted. As you have uninstalled and reinstalled Home, there may have been some files left on you computer which are not over-ridden with the re-install.

I would call TT support and see if there is a file you could manually delete and have Home reload and reinstall.

You need to delete the files in the extensions folder located here:

x:\Documents and Settings\"user name"\Application Data\TomTom\Home\Profiles\"*.default"\extensions

Doing so will force Home to download the needed files when you click on Operate My xxx. Be aware though that TomTom in it's infinite wisdom has named some of the files with a ".chk" extension which Microsoft identifies as being orphaned file fragments created by the chkdsk utility which scans and repairs your hard drive. If you have a maintenance program that cleans up clutter and debris from your system these files will be deleted causing your error. Just add that folder to the exclusions list of you maintenance program and everything should be OK.
