Pairing TT one XL

I have tried pairing my TT One XL with my Samsung W531. I have not been successfull.

The phone recognises the Tom Tom but has a ? mark beside it.
The tomtom will not recognise the phone. Is this normal or can it be paired?

Did you set the phone as being 'discoverable'? And try the pairing from the TT to the phone......

I think so - if discoverable is the same as visible then yes I did.

If discoverable is something different I have not found it yet.
And yes I have been trying to connect from TomTom

The ONE XL only pairs for data, and requires the phone to be Bluetooth DUN capable.

I've been Googling for Bluetooth DUN compatibility on the W531, and can't find any confirmation one way or the other.

You need to make the phone discoverable (visible is probably the same thing) and initiate the pairing from the Tomtom. What does the Tomtom say when you attempt that?

It fails

TT will not discover the phone, but does find a Plantonics 330 bluetooth ear piece I have.

I'm out of ideas - seems the Tomtom can't speak the phone's bluetooth language.

Perhaps take it into a phone service center and see if a firmware upgrade is available, it might get more compatibility into the bluetooth stack.

Similarly, make sure your ONE XL is at the latest app (8.01), as there could be compatibility issues resolved by later Tomtom software.
