Operate My Go !

Ladies and Gentlemen

i am new on this Forum and i am so happy to be a member of this community
i am several Questions. but first let me start with my Device. i am Using Go 720 i just bought it while ago. and i got free Map of North America Version 8.10 for free. under 30 days map Guarantee, now my Questions is.

1- what does Map Share mean? and should i up to date it ?
2- when i use TT Home i see icon called Operate My Go?? what does this mean and for what?

Mapshare consist of map corrections made by members and shered through TomTom. There are a number of different trust levels uyou can choose for sharing. It is marginally usefull right now 9read other posts on the subject).

Operate My Go will bring up your unit in Home and you can do some of the settings and operations on your computer with it. You cannot access Plus Services anymore, for some reason TomTom chose to disable this very useful function on the latest application

when i tab on the screen and i go to Change Preferences and then to Hide lane Image . i see there red X should i take it out or just leave it ???

No - this is a new feature with the 8xx series maps.

I STRONGLY suggest you spend some time on this forum to get failure with issues on your device. You might even spend some time with the user manual - it should cover some of the basics.

Anway, I agree that icon is confusing. If you see that icon, "Hide..." then you DO have it set to SHOW lane images.

If you clicked it, you would NOT see a red X and the wording would change to "Show lane images".

No, it was not focusing on spell-check when I clicked...(were you and English teacher ...?)

But now - "Anway" ???

The truth? The 'Y' key on my home computer does not work well (thanks, microsoft) and I'm constantly checking my posts to see whether all the Y's are there. Missed that one.

I was a teacher, but not English.........

I'd make sure Lane Images are ENABLED. After all, if the routes you travel have the data imbedded in the maps to make them show, why not use them?
