One XL-S Need help!

I got new one from Wal-Mart online for $258. I had to buy the German/Austria/Swiss map for my trip next week. I insralled a 2GB SD from my camera to load the map on & it seems to work O.K.
Question? = I tried to do what the manual said & add a 320X240 photo of my truck for start-up image. I erased the one called "splashw.bmp" & downloaded my photo with that name. When I turn it on now, all I get is a blank screen. Does anyone know how to make this work, TomTom Support says it might not work on some XL's, I guess I got one.

320x240 is the wrong dimension for the XL-S, you should use 480x272 Please read my write-up below:

Although the photo is stretched way out (horizontally), my truck is still there on the start-up. My wife is still wondering how I did it. Thanks again

Send me a picture and I'll create one for you with the correct aspect ratio so it doesn't look stretched
