100_1299.JPG I wanted something that looks fitted. I hardwired the power supply (with a fuse) to the vehicle. Wired an external antenna so it could sit down lower. I used a dremmel tool to cut an indent so I could fit it in the top and recess it a bit. Cut some room at the bottom so I could still have access to the SD Card and power supply.

It sounds like a good mounting by your description, but a bigger overall picture would give a better idea of where it is placed :)
 
Needs peripheral vision of the road ahead when looking at the tomtom screen.

Can be real scary when you encounter those 'vehicle is off the highway' situations.

I assume a dash mount will be used for long trips.
